Northern Ireland is part of the U. K. which I believe is an original member of the UN. You didn't find North Dakota or North Carolina either because they are part of the U.S., also an original member of the UN. You might want to search for North America and North Ossetia too. Maybe refresh your memory about East Timor. You may also want to search Sudan, or North Sudan as some call it, and South Sudan and see if the PGA decides they will play as one or two counties.
And what does the PGA have to do with setting national boundaries or telling us our citizenship? |

I bit of the very first post is copied above. I merely pointed out that Belfast is not in Ireland and the bunch of you went bananas. It's still not in Ireland but in Northern Ireland.
