I'll help you out.

Labor force participation rate was  52.9% in 1940

Labor force participation rate was  54.1% in 1950

Labor force participation rate was  63.8% in 1980

Labor force participation rate was  67.1% in 2010

Labor force participation rate was  63.7% in 2012

I picked this up from "The Cato Institute".  You should trust it.

Incidentally, it's not the workforce that is roughly the same size, it's the workforce participation rate.   The workforce is much larger now due to a much larger population.

Do you guys know when WW2 happened?    1941 to 1945.

What BS wrote is bs.

What I posted was "unemployment records"; not rate, davieboy. But having the resident retard not read what was posted is no surprise. Liberal commies always do this.

Does the resident retard remember nobama telling us we needed to pass that stimulus to keep unemployment from rising above 8% as he promised? Of course, anything above 8% is considered high unemployment. That's why he used that figure. Dismal record.

Then we have Forbes and others reporting in August of 2012, that unemployment had been above 8% for 42 consequtive months at that time; which is the longest period of ((sustained)) high unemployment since the great depression. No one else holds that record, davie!

http://www.forbes.com/sites/charleskadlec/2012/08/13/president-obamas-smashing-success-story-greatly-increasing-the-power-of-government/

Then this on Jan 2013 from whitehousedossier:

Long term unemployment under President Obama is at the highest level since at least the end of World War II, threatening to create a permanent underclass of workers who will find it difficult or impossible to obtain jobs in the future. Long term record, davie!

http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2013/01/15/long-term-unemployment-highest-level-wwii/

Then this; from last July 05 reported in the Examiner:

Since 1948, when the Bureau of Labor Statistics started keeping track of the national unemployment rate, no president has ever logged 54 straight months where unemployment was at or above 7.5% — until now. That’s right: With this morning’s BLS report, Obama is able to add another notch to his belt. Another long term record, davieboy.

Or this from Feb 2012 at cncnews:

On the third anniversary of President Barack Obama’s $787-billion stimulus spending program, the unemployment rate set a new record, staying above 8 percent for the longest period since the end of World War II – 36 months. - http://cnsnews.com/news/article/3rd-anniversary-obamas-787b-stimulus-unemployment-sets-record#sthash.qXZh0WP0.dpuf    Nice long record there again, davie!

So when I posted that your commie nobama has the worst ever unemployment records since WW2; I was actually correct. I never said he had the highest rate. So since what I posted was not BS, how does that BS taste since you are now eating those words? Come back after your remedial reading class and then maybe you won't embarrass yourself again!

And...he still has the worst ever unemployment records. 9 whole months, huh? Does not quite compare to the 36, 42, or 54 month periods I quoted for you here, does it?
