Obama: "Understandable" That U.S. And Israel Have Different "Tactical Perspectives"??

(I know what "tactics" are, but what the hell are tactical "perspectives"?)

PRESIDENT OBAMA: "There are times where I, as President of the United States, am going to have different tactical perspectives than the Prime Minister of Israel -- and that is understandable, because Israel cannot contract out its security.  In light of the history that the people of Israel understand all too well, they have to make sure that they are making their own assessments about what they need to do to protect themselves. (So how are we any different, Doofus?)  And we respect that.  And I have said that consistently to the Prime Minister."

Here's my answer, Mallory:

 

The President should have told China, "NO!" Since commercial passenger airlines have been flying those routes for many years, they should not have to notify China every time they fly there. The technology exists that China can recognize which airplane is which. The President should have acted like he has a pair and told China that if the Chinese launch their fighters to intercept our airliners, we will launch our fighters as well, to intercept their fighters. If China shoots down one of the airliners it is not our fault. It rests with the Chinese for killing innocent people.

 

And nobody would blame Obama?   Really?   Every Republican member of Congress would blame him and you would too.

 

And what is your next move after the downing?   Keep doing it?   Start WWIII?   Or comply for the time being and negotiate a better solution?   Or what?

 

Another thing, it is should not be the President's job, nor should it be in his power to dictate how an airline should conduct its business outside our borders. 

 

I think our government can and should be able to regulate some American airline operations wherever they are.
