There was Corwin School further down Stewart Road east of Fruitland.

Shiloh School was out north of Muscatine.

Lucas Grove school was west of Muscatine on Hwy 22 on the Stange farm.

And Melpine School was out by Wild Cat Den and became Muscatine School district too.

Also had Pleasant Prairie farther out 61 north; Union school on 61; Sweetland Center and Sweetland Valley schools, and Bayfield school west of Spangler chapel on Bayfield road west of Mulberry.

There are more too. That's why I requested if you can narrow down your geography, TxPat.

That's the one. When you mentioned the name Shiloh it rang a bell. Verified with my mom who recognized the name also. Thanks for the input, I went to the 4th grade at that school in 1961. I would like to know if the building still exists today? If so I would make a trip up there just to see it.
