G'd morning,

I was awakened to the metal sound that alarms everyone about 3:30am.  Got the 911 called and was looking for whoever is breaking the law at this unGodly hour.  My nerves are unhinged after this past week.  So many serious ups n downs.  I need just quiet.  Where's John Wayne when you need him???  cops were here in 5 min flat!  in front of the house and said they'd alreay been around back looking and all was well, quiet, and clean.  No one lurking or doing anything.  The metal sound I heard accomplies a crow bar n pad lock or door being pried open.  The sound that only has a high pitch screech.... I hope they catch this band of thieves cause I am tired of being bothered by them. Two nights ago, I heard what I thought was a neighbor making this type noise, late, after I'd seen his car drive in close to midnight.  As it turned out, it was a burglar ripping a toolchest from my son's truck just to use it to break a window so he could rip out a dash and take radio, Garmin, and more, from his work truck.  Many work tools were stolen. This is habit about this time each year.  I've no clue why our neighborhood gets targeted but it does.  Holidays are coming and even crooks see us as easy pickings.  It doesn't matter if your car/truck is in front, driveway, or in back of your house.  They attack, wearing gloves, and Police chase but never seem to eliminate the perpetrators.  They say they feel it is kids, I think young adults working as a group.  They break into garages and take lawn equipment they can load into trucks as I've been able to stop a couple of those.  Apparently that's one of the things son was "feeling" last night when he stormed outta here with his gun cause he never left and came back inside a hour later proudly saying he'd found the wire that turned off his dome light when you lifted the door handle.  Then he ate his pizza and I went to sleep.  I'd also taken an antihistimine because my feet were spasming at that point.  I wish he'd drink sometimes - he lacks humor all-to-gether and I feel that's just weird.  He had gotten so angry saying I was rambling - he gets tired of my voice after 4 min of my talking about anything.... it's a generation gap thingy.  Someday, he's going to miss me and regret being so blatantly rude.  I had mentioned the thought of moving cause I am tired of being robbed, vandalized, harassed ... I miss nice neighbors who won't destroy your property and say NOT MY FAULT.

Wendell, who works for the City of Dallas Parks Dept, is coming today, to help finish building the wood fence out back - this will stop anyone coming on my property unless they come thru a gate.  I plan on a noisy device for that with a possible remote entry.  Got it on eBay already. Had motion detectors out there and husband didn't like them so he took them down.

I think I'm going back to bed cause I am sure God isn't awake.  Only the devil would be out at this hour.  geeze, and it's cold out there!  Glad I brought in the plants.  Verdel & the others ran out in the yard to potty but didn't take long cause their feet felt the temperatures and missed their warm spot in the house.  They didn't bark either.

Every year about this time or in November, criminals hit this neighborhood and car radios are not safe.  Dashes are torn to hell.  Gloves are always worn.  They have to have their Christmas too I guess.  It isn't about the employment rate - cause I've been in this house 20 years and it's the same.  I'd like to know when the group is going to get caught? or are they training their kids and aiming them here?

Surprised G'd day to you all ... we found out what was disrupting all the dogs, especially the big hounds late at night.  There's a bycicle rider wearing his jammies with feet and has his large dog running loose beside him, that made a habit of late night exercise in the neighborhood especially up/down the alleyways.  When asked about this, his comment was a rude n loud "what's your problem?? this is MY NEIGHBORHOOD!" and off he went again.  That was about 11:00PM on a weeknight.  Don't know about you, but this seems very strange to us, especially since this is the same alley that's had a vehicle broken into and robbed several times.  He did look suspecicous,  AND, in his jammies with feet?  this was a white, caucacion, in his mid to late 20s riding a fast bike and with a large dog - no leash.

There are a few perverts around here if you google ... so this isn't something I really feel comfy seeing ... my furbabies get scared.  Me too.

I wish our Police patroled more, like they used to do.

We wouldn't need US to be watching so much.... In the past twenty years I have been know to catch a few thieves trying to empty garages, held them at bay while the Police came to cart them off.  Those were my younger days though.

I am thankful they do get here so fast when we call them!  for anyone who doesn't know where our local Police station is located, it is on NW Hwy East of Medallion Center a little past Flagpole Hill.

Innocent Merry Christmas to all!  In case anyone is wondering, I'm the blinking house with the small dogs wearing Santa outfits yelling hello to everyone ... they try so hard to talk.

May our new year bring joy, good health, and wealth to us all.

Smile The weatherman is predicting snow for us tomorrow, wow, it has been a long time since I saw a white Christmas.  Wish my folks were alive.  Mom always got giggly over those!  Time to start the fireplace up!! Cool

btw, seems the kid down the street got caught by daddy.  Don't know who called him with the facts but he came home really angry last week.  He apparently took the Mom's car keys away and was yelling at them in the front yard!  I heard it all the way to my house.  WOW, was he angry!  They've been VERY quiet ever since and she's walked the kids where they wanted go, including school.  No more riding in the window of the surbuban or on the side of it.  Those kids haven't been seen roaming the neighborhood since!  LOL, no alley investigating for the Mom either.  I feel safe now.  He screamed that he got a ticket over their behavior.  Guess the kid & Mom calling Code Compliance backfired ....

Life can be a dream, shee boom shee boom ...

Have a beautiful white day!  don't forget to say THANKS to GOD and leave a cookie for Santa.

I just wave hello ...

My morning has started off on shaky. It has been raining really hard for a few days around here.  This past month, the neighborhood hounds have been very unhappy too.  No idea why.  My furbabies had to rush outside and I suddenly heard a man screaming foul language so I looked out again to see the young man (from 4310 Somerville Ave) who'd moved into a house next to the brat, come rushing out with something in his hand that looked like a small gun, cussing at this top of his lungs "this is Saturday before daylight and not any ****k*** time to be waking me up so SHUT yer g**f***k*** mouths up or ... ", when he saw me. "Lady you need to shut those f***ing dogs up cause 7 or 8 is too much go*da** barking. They bark all the **ddamn time! Now SHUTUP!" door slams. I swear it looked like a gun in his hand. My dogs were barking at another dog going by and had shut up by the time he walked out his door and did a U-turn in the middle of the street when he saw me at my door. He must have had a hangover. The couple who owned this house passed away a couple of years ago. They've had nephews (?) live there to keep it in the family. This is a new one from just a week or so. The other one moved out when the little girl walked in on him getting out of the shower. This one, I'm not sure, if he still has the big black hound or not, that used to bark so much esp when he was gone. I think the hound is gone this past week. This one seems to be prof job searching and has a female w/children who visit occassionally. He dresses in white shirt/tie and goes out early 9am m-f in a nice shiney car. The older family members maintain the house. (The brats house is still having repairs done from daddy's tantrum but mom has her SUV priviledges of driving back.) The neighborhood is getting grumpy again. Someone cut my solar light wires - yes, cut. I'd heard the young man say he didn't like the blinking & it gave him a headache but it didn't occur to me he'd do anything....that was a little over a week ago but when I witnessed his temper today, I realize he may have been the one to cut one wire to disable one of the light strings. He's not lived at this house very long. I guess he's showing his "ALPHA" ... time to post in the neighborhood watch ... that won't help him get a job.

well, coffee just made. Off to work shortly, once my teeth are clean, face washed etc. Kids are sleeping quietly. They're not fretting over neighbors but I am - I think he has a screw or two loose and could be dangerous. I'm debating calling the Police but what would I say? He had a headache and screamed at my dogs holding a gun at 8am Saturday in an aggressive manner? sounds unbelievable ... and can't prove it now. Not for the OK Corral cowboy days. ...

I'm still fearing going outside for awhile.  I sent an email to the City about this.  He yelled at the kids next door to him on his first day moving in and that daddy went to have a word with him - I heard a lot of yelling and they are doing a lot of repairs to the daddy's house after he went back home.  I went back into my house.  I've no clue as to what is causing all the hounds to bark this past month at all odd hours.  Apparently all the noise is really getting on this guy's nerves and my AKC dogs were about to be shot cause they were the last straw!
