Does anyone know if deck awnings (retractable)are allowed in the Woodlands subdivision?

I agree with most of the things said on this site like yard cleanup,parking,etc just to name a few.But there are some people you just have nothing better to do than complain about Trivial things such as Awnings. I have seen the awning you are talking about because it is on my house.I purchased this awning from Sunsetter and it is very tasteful and pleasant to the eye.You are welcome to come and look at it any time. I also feel if you are going to complain you should have enough nerve to put your idenity up on this site or just SHUT THE HELL UP.

Interesting reponse re: awnings

Interesting response to a question that was misinterpreted as a complaint by Mr. Pope.

As I am interested in purchasing such an awning for my deck, I felt that I should inquire as to whether there were any restrictions becaise there did not seem to be any mention made in the ccr's by my reading. I decided to ask a Board member. This member did not know the answer to this question..hence my asking the question online for any assistance from fellow homeowners.

I sincerely apologize for taking your letter as a complaint.But you have to realize their are a few people on this site who have nothing better to do than complain or find a reason for such and not put their name up for a proper responce.
We installed without asking the board because I feel that our board does not respond to the people in this neighborhood unless it benefits them.We installed our awning to try and ward off some of the afternoon heat and to make a nice place to sit on our deck.
As I said you are welcome to come by and look at the awning and see how easy it is to operate.It was also easy to install ( about 2 Hrs )
