It's been quite some time since I've seen a newsletter from the association. Could we include this site on the next letter and get more information out about the civic association? Are there meetings? Is there a forum where people can have a voice in their community? What are the due processes to file complaints about everyday concerns around declining property values i.e. run down homes being bought by realty investors and rented out the following week with no improvements, grass growing on rooftops, gutters hanging off of homes for 2 years, goes in the streets because people REFUSE to clear their gutters and allow weeds to take over the streets, dogs viciously barking at people through fences for hours on end, basically the MINIMUM of county standards for all communities. Is their no course of action? Do homeowners just go through the county? I, for one, refuse to watch my neighborhood fall apart and my property to decline any further.

I haven't seen a newsletter in quite some time. I'm curious about how much money is in the Association's account. I've been a Northridge homeowner for over 15 years and have yet to see any financial disclosure to the residents who pay dues. |

I would appreciate a disclosure as well. Considering the only benefit to my paying dues is snow removal which I haven't been aware of needing, and when it has happened it's been poorly done or minimal. I don't receive responses to my emails I send occasionally and the county complaint center is useless. If someone has any direction for me it would be really appreciated.

I guess Dave Bart is still the Association's President. Before I moved to Northridge, I was President of another Civic Association for 2 years. We put out a monthly letter to residents detailing funding and expenditures, etc. Businesses advertised on the back of our newsletters for $5. It paid the cost of printing. We also received neighborhood improvement funding from companies like Pepsi and Delmarva. All it took was a well written letter. You're correct about the plowing. I've seen better snow clearing in other neighborhoods. My street usually gets only one path plowed.
