The vote in favor for the POA stands at 14% of the total homeowners.  14% is the minority.  Not phone calls, e-mails, or just talking to people.

A quote from a letter sent by the Board of Directors.  "Your completed proxy form must be returned to the Board of Directors by 12:00p.m. on November 10, 2007 in the postage prepaid envelope to have your voted COUNTED as anything other than a yes vote."

Let me explain this concept one more time...

We didn't actually "count" the people that didn't vote as yes votes. 

What the statement above is trying to say is that if you want your vote to count as a "no" then you have to fill out the form and get it in.  Otherwise it might as well be a yes.  Thats it.  No hidden deception.  Just if you want to vote no you have to get the form in.

The question we voted on was if we wanted to dissolve the HOA.  The people that voted no were the ones that counted and mattered.  If you didn't vote then you might as well have voted yes. 

The only number that mattered was the number of "no" votes. 

In the letter submitted by the board after the vote, it stated that, "This total was far less than the two-thirds (2/3) of the total of the votes, in person or by proxy, that was necessary to dissolve the NWHPOA."  64 votes is 65.30% of the total vote, which is NOT "far less" needed to dissolve.  This was a misleading statement.  Anyway, 34 voted to remain intact, just barely enough, 34.69%.  Even if you use the 2/3rds method, 34 votes is still a minority.  The definition of "minority" is "a number that is less than half of the whole number".
