JillS:  2 different stories.  Note your July date, one month after the story I referenced.   Looks like someone got to the newspaper in the meantime, doesn't it?   Hell, his relatives even said he was born in Kenya.  Of course they wouldn't know anything about it would they?

I ran this by a few members of my support group and none can explain it.   If BS can't come up with a rational explanation, then I write it off as part of the crazies mind set.

I'd be more inclined to believe the first story IF it had been the 2nd one. How many times does a newspaper print erroneous information and then a subsquent story is accurate? Why would somebody "get" to the newspaper several years ago? That doesn't make any sense. If the article had been recent amid all the controversy, that statement MIGHT be relevant, but not several years ago.

I have no idea what the truth is and neither does anybody else. For every point of view, you can find an opposing point of view. It's just very  hard to believe that there was an article in the paper when he was born stating he was born in HI. What's the point 40+ years ago? Did they plan for the presidency that long ago?

And I do have to agree it would resolve everything if he'd produce the original birth certificate. I find it hard to believe the state government of HI would be covering this up as well. Whatever Obama is, he isn't stupid and he knows he doesn't have to produce his original birth certificate and he's arrogant enough that he just isn't going to do it.

If a "certification of live birth" is enough to prove citizenship legally and if it's true that someone born outside the country can get one, then why isn't somebody challenging that law so things like this don't ever happen again?

Can somebody complete the narrative for me?   When did Obama's mother go to Kenya?   When he was born to an American mother, why would he not be an American citizen?   When did she return?
