Erickson Sent Letter to Bank One
The evil one that Bruce Rigelman referred to that sent the letter to his Bank One employer in Chicago was Eric Erickson from Fifth Third Bank here in Columbus.
According to a newspaper article of September 13, 2000 in This Week in Pickerington, Bruce Rigelman got angry at Eric Erickson of Fifth Third and threaten him and his bank via a written e-mail from his Bank One e-mail system.
Bruce Rigelman was quoted in the newspaper as saying ''This made me angry and I was fully prepared to dispend of Erikson's services.''
Tim Moen, vice president, human resources for Bank One issued a letter of apology to Eric Erickson dated September 20, 2000.
Copies are available of the e-mails that Bruce Rigelman sent to Eric Erickson and the letter of apology.
It appears that the big fool was Bruce Rigelman.

Response to Red Flags
Dear Red Flags,
I am glad you find the nicknames funny. It?’s always nice to know that I can make people laugh. Why our anonymity? Well, I can answer that simply. I am not PATA. You are. I am just a webmaster, a tool to assure that this site stay operational. I do not feel it appropriate to interject my opinion into PATA, just my technical skills and volunteerism. You are PATA, Bruce is PATA, Any Mouse, Central Mom and Dad and everyone else is PATA.
PATA can again be out in front of the issues. That is up to you. Yes, gone are the days when there was a face in front of PATA but in the two years that face has been gone, PATA prevailed with topical information and the courage to address the issues head-on. Have they always been pleasant interactions? No, there are always the people who choose to attack and insult and deride people like evidenced in nearly every thread. But more importantly are those posters who continue to enlighten and inform.
I myself was never that frequent of a poster to PATA. I was an avid reader. I posted anonymously for what is probably the same reason as most. I think that people?’s reaction to seeing my name may have a direct influence on how they interpret what I wrote. I didn?’t want to add that baggage to my postings. The same is probably true for many. We can just be your average housewife who cares and dares to speak our mind. We may be people new to the area who want to learn. It doesn?’t matter. What matters is lending our voices to trying to make this community better.
If I disagree with a posting I will post and say so, but not as the webmaster but as just another poster. I will not delete it. I don?’t intend posting any now more than I ever did. When I mentioned deleting it was simply that if we post topics for discussion and no one responds in a week or so, why keep it? Obviously if no one is interested and why keep something there taking up space that no one is interested in? I can?’t see who is posting what. I was glad to see that once I got administrator rights. One of my biggest concerns was that I could see who was posting and I thought I might react differently. It is human nature. If you post anonymously, then you are anonymous. In addition to not being able to see who is posting, I don?’t care who is posting.
How will you be able to hold me accountable? For what? What do you want to do to me? If you don?’t like PATA don?’t come to PATA. If you do come, take a part in making it better.
I can assure you that I am not an elected official intent to steer discussion where I want. I can?’t offer you proof of that other then my word. Take it for what it?’s worth. Respect and trust have to be earned. I will do my best to earn trust if you feel it necessary.
Again, come and participate if you want. Stay away if you want. All of the readers and posters to PATA are PATA ?– not me. Make it into what you want it. My intent is to research all available tools out there to make it easier to use our site and research information.

I Agree with Roadrunner
People do need the opportunity to express their views on public issues without risking personal ridicule, insult and intimidation in return. This website has provided a great opportunity for that, and has helped us all sort out the direction we want our community to take. It's too bad we have to carry on this conversation anonymously. But I guess we do. Just when it seemed safe to go back in the water.

Message for Bruce Rigelman
Yes, Bruce, it is still not safe to post lies and call people evil on this website who caught you breaking the law. No one is above the law. Just ask Martha Stewart and Roger Blackwell.
You are lucky you are not behind bars and serving time like your friend, Gary DeMastry.
PLSD voters never believed you. Everything and everyone you supported were voted down. Too bad you didn't try for re-election in 2003. Voters would have sent the message directly to you.
Bruce, try looking to the future instead of trying to re-write history and cover up for your mistakes.
