Water is not safe
I feel bad that Dr. Rigelman thought it was safe to go back into the water....I feel bad because I wish it was.... but realize it is not. Having created this website in January of 2000, and acting as a co webmaster with Bob Harding for a number of years, I personally experienced the anonymous threats, poison pen letters and general bad tidings that come with it and that come with expressing your opinion in public or on this site and signing your name. I can understand why the new webmasters want to remain anonymous, when I decided to hand over the site to their control, I did so giving them a heads up on my experience, and they have seen the experience of others on this site too.
I have been searching for new webmasters for this web site for over two years, and have made webmaster duty offers to a few people whom I respect tremendously and have been turned down...until recently. I know those individuals who have declined this offer still continue to be involved in posting on the discussion area and I am grateful for their contributions to an intelligent discussion and thank them once again for sharing their knowledge and opinions.
I wish the new webmasters the best of luck and I am encouraged that they are willing to make the time and devote the effort to bring PATA back to the forefront on the home page and our pages too...my family commitments prevent me from making any decent effort in that manner and have for a few years...and I am glad that the new webmasters have agreed to take on this opportunity...remembering that dropping pebbles in this pond does result in ripples that can continue for years...and hopefully have a postiive effect on this community.
Thank you to all of the readers of this site for your interest and contributions and words of support during difficult times.
