Careful Amy
Careful Amy. You keep talking sense like and you won't be allowed back on this site.
I guess all our work last year was in vain. How many man-hours did we spend putting together time lines and phases? Poor ole Central Grandpa must have slept through the whole thing.

Data not available on PLSD site
Jim,
If one was so inclined to want the time lines, etc. that Grampa referenced and you as well, where is an easily accessed web site for this data? I tried the PLSD site and found nothing other than a simple table of projected enrollment levels.
The data is out there, why not make it easily found and reviewed by everyone, not just the members of the various committees? I for one would consider changing my No vote if I felt comfortable that folks with non-PLSD bias had more opportunity to vet the data .

Look at links on the right
If you go to the PLSD website - look at the links on the far right.
The Facitily Report is a 49 page document (I could open but you need adobe reader) it's about the fifth link down.

Miss Amy
My dear Miss Amy and Jim,
My apologies for being feeble. Hopefully when you?’re my age you?’ll be much sharper and not need to be chided by youngsters. After hitting post message I started to remember the different levy offered a while back and the controversy is caused when one of the board members sided with the union against it and so on. Since I wouldn?’t be getting back to my computer yesterday I thought I?’d wait until this morning to post my correction. Instead I am posting this apology.
I guess I have to look at the 950 number as being manageable given that Heritage is approaching that number. My reason for it being manageable is that if a school is designed for that number, appropriate accommodations can be made for the logistics necessary to make it as suitable as a 750 or other number school. You can just pack them into an old structure in a bad location like Heritage and compare it to a newly designed facility.
As to your comments on a consultant, sometimes you have to spend money to make money. It would be my hope that a consultant could produce reports and recommendations to the voters that is less than 49 pages long. I am sorry to report that I will not be reading the 49 page report. In my feeble opinion, the more pages in a book, the more plot twists lie within.
My grandkids went to Heritage as I seem to remember yours did Amy. In my opinion, in my visits to grandparent?’s day and breakfast with a buddy, etc., it is, to say the least a joke. No matter what the administration says about a suitable environment to combine elementary and middle schools, they are wrong. I think the district now has the opportunity to test their wisdom as the test subjects of this debacle are no in junior high. Compare the children who had the opportunity to progress naturally from elementary to middle to junior high to those who were left behind at Heritage. You will see that there are distinct differences.
As to your last sentence, you substantiate my point in that the board should hire a consultant who can provide the information and insight and backup data to help make the voters understand.
