PLSD Questions

Sorry I started this

This is exactly the kind of bickering we need to move away from. Amy has clearly missed the point of the original posting here. She says that if anyone has any ideas we should tell the school board. Amy, that was what the first postings in this string was doing. Central Dad and myself were bouncing ideas around. I think we were doing a pretty good job. Now you chime in with a clearly hostile and defensive posture. Amy, this is what we don't need.

It's important to point out that if Amy and Jim's kind of thinking is allowed to continue we likely have a lot of failed levies to look forward to.

Don't give up

Mom,

Ignoring is easier. Please don't discout Amy and I don't know Jim. Amy is one of the few brave souls who continue to volunteer to do her part to make the community better. I only wish she'd have run for school board.

What the facilities review panel was faced with was the legacy of the school boundary committee. The end result was determined by the board and/or the administration in advance and the committees were seeded with enough board/admin and, (dare I say it) booster ''team players'' to assure that outcome was delivered. More trust issues.

I remember a consultant was hired for the boundary committee but was so incredibly frustrated, she almost quit. They changed her mission by the hour. She was never allowed to do her job and perhaps that is what a consultant to get a levy passed may face.

Again, I encourage people like Amy to stay involved. And more importantly, I encourage Mom, Dad and good old Gramps to also stay engaged. You never know what may develop and I can assure you that board and admin people at the schools read this stuff religiously.

Misunderstood?

I'm sorry if you read my posting as bickering or hostile or defensive; I certainly didn't intend to come across that way. I thought I was merely restating some facts and offering my opinion on some issues. I'm anxious to see new elementaries built in this district. I won't bicker or argue with those that vote against them, as there are valid reasons for voting no. I will however point out inaccuracies (such as the same issue on the ballot 3 times) if I read/hear them.
