CHECK THE FUNDING

Dear Piston Head:

You should check the funding for S.R.256. I know the most (up to 90%) of the monies for upgrading, expanding, paving of S.R. 256 came from the State of Ohio or Federal funding. The Township lady sends money to the Ohio and Federal governments just like you do.
Anti up twp

That is a dumb argument in that the City Taxpayers also pay state and federal taxes DON'T THEY?

If you want me to understand your argument then tell me just how much of the 10% of local funding came from the township taxpayers. The vast majority of those taxpayer use 256 each day to get to work and they have not put in one red cent of local money to make it all happen. Yet I hear you all complaining just like Ms Township Lady.

What about Diley road where the figures are still fresh. I understand that road costs around $13.5 Million 80% of that funding is coming from Pickerington tax payers. I believe the project is about 3 miles long. Probably 40% of that project is in the township. So the City residents are paying nearly $3 Million for a road which 40% is part of the township road system. If the City had not stepped forward the road would not have happened.

Then what does the township do but try to screw the city residents by taking advantage of the NEW FIVE LANE road and rezoning 3.38 acres of land from residential to commercial on Wright Road despite concerns and objections from the city. What the hell do they care they are not responsible for roads, police , water and sewer. I would call that a leach government.

Look out, it's about to erupt!
Funny about resident concerns

The funny thing about the resident concerns are those are the same concerns both city and township residents had when the City was building with the bottom feeder - Maronda Homes. Concerns were voiced about George's Creek, Sheffield and the development near Pickerington Ponds.

The city did absolutely NOTHING to protect residents from the likes of Maronda. Take a look at the upkeep done at Sheffield around their ponds or lack of it. That business park is only going to mask what Sheffield doesn't do & I bet they do it a whole lot better.

Maybe with the new guidelines the city can get Maronda to plant grass on the ponds & do something about all the weeds that grow wild. It looks like hell and people are worried what will go next to it? Give me a break.....at least the township hasn't brought up Tiffing the ''business park''.

By Groundhog day again???
