Can't help your problem
Sounds to me that you were stupid enough to move into the city limits and pay more for less...move to the township and join the freeloaders, shop at the same stores, do the same activities allin the name of... better living for less!??
Sounds like a big box moniker if I ever heard one!

A Fly on the Wall
Piston Head may very well be on to something. I did have a conversation last night with someone very close to the service committee and City Hall. It turns out that Piston Head was not too far off in his suggestion. One of the options to improve the current 35 MPG progression of Hill Road/256 to I-70 in the mornings is to cut down on the green time for the township traffic.
There was also a comment about the concerns when George's creek and Sheffield were platted. At time I remember talking about these developments and the only two area residents in attendance at the time were Bob Harding and Ted Hackworth. So if there were concerns most of you were asleep at the wheel. I also do not remember any referendums or other official protests to the platting.
As for the Home Builder in question there has been action and that is on a number of fronts. Clearly the residential guidelines will protect the city in the future and hopefully clean up some of the mess created from the past. I suspect Moron-da Homes will file a suit against the city to delay any guidelines being implemented even if they stand a good chance to loose their action.
I saw in the paper this morning that Solove lost his effort to over turn the two lots per acre citizen ordinance that they filed in 2003. Their only recourse is to appeal. So the bottom line is that Viola Park will now come in at two lots per acre and I think that will take away around 70 approved lots.
I also hear from my friend that the City may buy up to 70 lots from Wellington park (which was zoned in the township) for a road which was ignored in the township and their lack of planning.
However they are the Teflon trustees and they do not accept nor does anyone blame them for any of their past screw ups. Even their constituents support them without question? When the citizens were complaing about speeder running through Brentwood Farms Terry Dunlap said that is the Regional Planning Commision's fault. Those citizens must lobby the County Engineer to get a stop sign to slow traffic. Look at the mess they have created on the Spring Creek development. Here again they are making a short cut right through the development and who of all government enitites is holding up the plat approval for the City portion?
Those that say they are living better for less are about to find themselves behind the eight ball here soon and they will find a great deal of catching up to do. Enjoy your trip to work in the mornings.
