Twp. Zoning Public Hearing

Posted in: PATA
This was sent to PATA from the Township:

Friends and neighbors,

This is to remind you of the Public Hearing to be held at Ridgeview Junior High School on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 7:30pm. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria. The Violet Township Zoning Commission will continue the public hearing for Case Number 01-ZC-2006. This application, filed by TLG Development Company, Inc. proposes to rezone 106+/- acres located on the north and south sides of Refugee Road, from R-1 and R-2 Single Family Residential Districts to the C-2, Limited Commercial District in order to accommodate commercial development with out-parcel retail/office buildings.

After the conclusion of the public hearing, the matter will be submitted to the Violet Township Board of Trustees for its action.

I urge you to pass this to your friends and neighbors within the community and encourage them to attend.

The applicant states that the proposed zoning change supports the general health, safety and morals of the surrounding area in that it will provide the residents with a quality commercial retail center supported by infrastructure improvements to alleviate traffic congestion, which is currently a problem in the area. The proposed zoning will compliment the increase of residential development in the area providing the community with a convenient local place to do their shopping.

Taking bets

Obviously this is for nothing other than fun but, what do you think the trustees are going to do?

I'm placing my bets on the rezoning to commercial occurring 3-0.

There will be pauses, sighs and long stares downwards as if the trustess are understanding the seriousness of this decision but in the end it'll be 3-0.

Only time will tell.

Smoke-screen

Just wait... these same township flunkees will be selling off HUGE tracts of land to the residential developers soon enough. This chunk of land across from the Taj Mahal being sold to a commercial developer is nothing more than a smoke screen.

Tell us Mr Dunlap and Mr Meyers... how many hundreds of acres do each of you own in the Allen and Pickerington Rds area? Guess where all those people will be sending their kids to school once the house begin popping up?? Where does the township stand on the growth issue??

Interesting

According to http://realestate.co.fairfield.oh.us/ it appears Harry owns about 17 acres off of Tollgate, next road East of Pickerington Rd.

Terry it appears owns/co-owns quite a little land off of Basil-Western/Allen Rd. Makes his arguments about 'we need the interchange at Allen Road' a lot more clear.
