I received a flyer in the mail today from Tim Schaffer stating that his commitment to ethics is the reason I should vote for him.
Then I received a phone call from Ron Hood's campaign stating that his commitment to lower taxes and bringing back jobs to Ohio are the reasons I should vote for him.
I'm curious as to what the other Republicans on this site think.
After Hood's phone call I got to thinking about Schaffer's (how many - six?) years in office and what he has done. I know he voted for the state tax increases, and in the past he has talked about bringing jobs back to Ohio. He doesn't seem to be talking about any of those anymore.
From what I can see Schaffer is primarily pandering to the religious right (aka Russell Johnson's crowd) and trying to capitalize on ethics reform. Other than having it out for DeMastry and Fox, I don't know how he has contributed to ethics reform. If anyone does know, please post it.
I don't know anything about Ron Hood or his time in office. Does anyone out there have any light to shed on the topic?
