we have an idea

We vote for a golf course, non residential, tax generating does not require semi's to restock. Stick the box in your ear.

An even BETTER idea.......

How about a prison for the site in question? There are many benefits:

1. The residents will not add to the burden on the school system.

2. The prison ''campus'' could be made to match the decor at the Taj across the street.

3. The Taj is already lit up like a federal prison.

4. Minimal traffic impact since the ''residents'' likely won't be driving. (we hope)

5. Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.....

6. Tax revenue, Tax revenue, Tax revenue.......

7. We won't have far to drive to visit some of our former elected officials.

8. The visitors will bring ''tourism'' dollars to our community. (Hotel tax and food sales)

9. Hacksaw and file sales will increase at the hardware store. (sales tax)

10. We will probably get a Greyhound depot too.

Slight problem

Only little problem with the golf-course solution. We already have a course in Pickerington and there isn't enough business at that one to keep it out of the red.

Metro parks is looking to unload our lone course so I doubt you're going to get a lot of takers on this idea.

I heard the township trustees rezoned the 3+ acres on Wright road to commercial the city residents were complaining about - what makes you think they won't do the same for this property out on Refugee?
