Allen Rd.?

Is it true that one or both of the Allen Rd. entrances/exits will become right turn only also? I haven't read this anywhere, but I've heard it from 2 different people now.

When we first moved here, there was no light at Pickerington Rd. and 33. It was a nightmare turning left onto 33 to head to Lancaster for work, during rush hour. Up to 3 cars would make it to the median to wait for the eastbound traffic to clear so they could pull out. Of course, this blocked the intersection for eastbound cars trying to turn left onto Pickerington Rd. If Allen Rd. is still available for left turns onto 33, this same situation will occur and I believe the accidents will just move slightly east to this intersection.

I'd prefer not to be inconvenienced, either by driving out of my way to head east on 33 or even to cross 33. And, I'd rather not be behind some slow moving farm equipment. But, if the intersection hadn't been there in the first place, I would have been using Diley/Hill Rd. exclusively, already.

However, I do think that the closures should be put off until Diley Rd. & Gender Rd. lights/ramps are improved. What's the rush at this point to close these medians (at Pickerington & High Streets)?

My hat is off to those few local individuals that still choose to make a living off the land in Pickerington and Violet Township. I greatly admire these folks. I for one have no issue what so ever pausing for a few moments when encountering farming vehicles on our roads. The number of times this happens are few and far between.

I'm certain that our area farmers don't want to stand in the way of progress in the name of convenience. Let's all slow down and allow our area farmers do their work. We all share the road.
