As a trustee of a Violet Township HOA, the various campaigns need to be aware that signs they place on HOA entrances will most likely will be pulled and thrown in the trash since most HOA's do not allow political signage. Last night, I yanked a total of four signs: Elsea, PLSD and Schaefer. There was no contact phone number on the signs for the campaign, just an address so I'm not going to spend my time trying to get a phone number to tell them that they are wasting their signs and I just tossed them in a dumpster. I don't care if the signs promote Motherhood and Apple Pie, they are going to get tossed!

Home Owners Association. Many of the same people that don't want big boxes cluttering their precious countryside and want the 'voice of the people' to be heard have a problem with people expressing their political viewpoints by those disgusting political signs.

Bond Issue Signs

I believe all Issue 3 (Bond Issue) signs were put in neighborhoods by residents of those subdivision. People volunteered to have signs in their yards or to put them at the entrances to their neighborhoods. Many subdivisions have by-laws prohibiting political signs. However, sometimes residents are unaware of the rule or choose to ignore it.
