Or candidate Blackwell
Who's basic message was ''Sounds good to me'' in reference to supporting policies that have been half or less thought through. 1st we have the 1/2 baked TEL amendment his party leaders were wringing their hands over and asking ''How do we save Ken from himself'' so they pull a fast one to get that off the ballot. Somewhere in there he was talking about signing a 100% ban on abortions if it came before his desk as governor. Rape - they were probably asking for it right Ken? Incest - probably already in the shallow end of the gene pool huh Ken? Mother's life in danger - Compassionate Conservatism rocks Kenny boy! But you'll get your choir boys behind you on that one Ken so play it for all she's worth! Now we've got another 1/2 baker that will get some good sound bites to show how he's fer fixin' ar' edukation sistim. Too bad he's got top Republicans once again blasting it. I even voted for Taft, as embarrasing as that is, but Blackwell is a total joke. He'll get as much support for his policies from a Republican run house and senate as Hillary would in Texas. |

OTHER HALF BAKED IDEAS
How about the half baked ideas of the former city manager and the council which tried to annex the whole township, giving away millions of tap and capacity fees in the process. Underwriting the expansion to the west, putting in sewer facilities for no cost to the developer. Rezoning potential commercial development along Diley Road to residential. Refusing to join the CEDA when it was offered originally to Mayor Randy Hughes, and the list could go on. Now you have the gall to critize those folks who are trying to recover from all those foolish plans. |
