head in the sand.

Any Mouse

I am not sure you are reading everything that was posted. I believe a paper township does away with the township under the City boundaries. It is a township in name only. There are no trustees or salaries to pay.

I believe Mr. Hackworth made it clear that we would like to see if they could contract with the township for fire service. So your questions about the fire department don't make sense to me.

Maybe I am not as well off as you but I do know that if the City and township could save me a couple hundred dollars a year in my tax package then I would be more than happy to cash that check.

Based on the value of my home I think I would save nearly $500 per year in taxes to the City. Any Mouse how much was your school levy to build the two new elementary school this year for a $150,000 home? Was it about the cost of a cup of coffee per day? I would guess around $150 per year. If I was getting a $475 tax break next year I would probably support a $150 increase for the schools.

However people like you will continue to see failed levies and still keep your head in the sand. Reject any kind of thinking outside the box.
Try Again

What if Violet TWN says no? Or if they see the city as a profit center? If I were a trustee and you tried to pull this nonsense on me, I'd gouge you for everything the law allows.

By the way, where are the damned thought police now? I make a joke and get hammered but a personal attack on me like this gets by?

You really need to paste this link into your browser. I was on the fence reading all the postings on this site but I read what is posted at the link above and was amazed. Now I am beginning to see not only what a good deal this may be for me, the taxpayer, but it opens my eyes to what Ted and Brian must be putting up with. Geez, I though they put with a lot of crap from Wright Parker and Sabatino but this is nothing compared to what they put up with from their ''friends''.
I see city schools coming

Any Mouse

Normally you are on your game better than this thread. If the City chooses to form a paper township on their own they can do so with out the permission of the Township.

They simply apply to the County Commissioners and if they approve then the new paper township is formed. After that your wonderful trustees would have zero influence over the City.

I guess why would you want have the trustees to stick it to the City taxpayers? Didn't I remember you being very close to the school baard. Would that help your future levies? Might bring on the City school district faster than you want.
