I am not sure you are reading everything that was posted. I believe a paper township does away with the township under the City boundaries. It is a township in name only. There are no trustees or salaries to pay.
I believe Mr. Hackworth made it clear that we would like to see if they could contract with the township for fire service. So your questions about the fire department don't make sense to me.
Maybe I am not as well off as you but I do know that if the City and township could save me a couple hundred dollars a year in my tax package then I would be more than happy to cash that check.
Based on the value of my home I think I would save nearly $500 per year in taxes to the City. Any Mouse how much was your school levy to build the two new elementary school this year for a $150,000 home? Was it about the cost of a cup of coffee per day? I would guess around $150 per year. If I was getting a $475 tax break next year I would probably support a $150 increase for the schools.
However people like you will continue to see failed levies and still keep your head in the sand. Reject any kind of thinking outside the box.
