Deleted Postings

Posted in: PATA

Granted I have not visited this site in a while because I was busy out having a life. I cannot personally verify the truth to the statements of any posting deletions as I have not read this forum all week.

I can assure you that I went through the member list section of the administrative side of this website this morning and reaffirmed that I am the only person with delete rights or any administrative permissions. The only people I am aware of that can delete these posting besides me are the system administrators and I can?’t believe they care to do those things.

Obviously webmaster one is a pseudonym that any of you can use just as any of you can use Roadrunner it you care to. There is nothing I can do about that. As Coyote and I said when we volunteered to take over management of this site and before you ran him off, we have looked into other technologies to host this forum that would, at the very least, require all registrants to self-assign their ?“handle?”, pseudonym, alias or username when they initiate their account and when they post, this alias will, by default, appear in all their postings. The connection between alias and account information such as email address would remain solely under the purview of the webmasters.

Remember that any thoughts of using better technology to run this site was soundly rejected by all of you, the users. You choose to remain anonymous while you make accusations and disparage others who make the same choice.

I am not PATA. There is no PATA any more. All there is left is this website under PATA?’s banner for you all to vent your spleen in.

I'm confused

So did you delete a posting? If you didn't, then who did?
.

why

9-16-2006
There is a time when if the agitation crosses the line of federal law, and in this case this particular posting and train of thought probably crossed that line. Any reference to that line cross in other postings were deleted also, not because the webmaster disagreed, but because we have a responsibity to monitor this site to keep it up an running.

Some other postings in that thread were deleted too, because the original title post created the offense and the replies had to be deleted too becaue the site only allows us to delelte the entire posting if the original string post must be
edited. If that post would have been down as a reply I could have just taken off that one post, I could not in this case. Sorry to those who spent time creating responses and they were deleted because of this site management issue.

As the original founder of this site, and one who went out and sought information and put it on here for many years since 2000, I have come to know that intelligent discussion can be supported here, and it is valuable. I have never deleted because I disagreed with anything, and I have disagreed with a lot. I do not like the glock 17 screen name either, and consider this close to crossing the line especially when the discussion involves children, Glock, you are a regular, so you will probably read this, you may consider changing your screen name.

For all of you who sat in the library with me reading meeting minutes and copying them, contacting reporters, writing letters to the papers, and walking petitions, attending endless meetings.... you should understand that we will not support law breakers nor should this site be used by such, those who merely post here and let it go, you will understand someday.

Because we monitor, this site is here, no monitoring and we can shut this down with two clicks.

I will not have police coming to my door to inquire about what is going on with this website.

go on and on, if you like I had no hesitation to delete and will not have any again.

What federal law?

What federal law was violated? Clearly this needs to be spelled out, as deleting postings seems to be a webmaster pasttime of late.

Please enlighten us.

And why are you threatening to shut this website down with two clicks?
