Long Time Tradition
The marching band has had ''tag day'' for as long as I can remember-even back in the dark ages when I was in school. I would assume that it is sponsored by the band boosters now, but it always has been sanctioned by the school. |

Tag Day
Tag Day, which has always been sponsored by the Music Boosters, has been an annual event for as long as I can remember, going back at least into the 1980s. The funds collected help to pay for those items in the marching band's budget that are not covered by the school board (which, in fact, is most of them). This includes compensation of many of the assistants who work with the band, the arrangement of the music for each year's show, the composition of the marching drill, uniforms, band instruments, transportation to band contests and many other things. Tag Day has always been one of the Music Boosters' most effective fundraisers. Without this generous community support, we would not have a marching band, still less two of them.
