The evils of gambling have broken apart more families than just about anything other than alcohol. Where are all the PROTECT MARRIAGE people that just had to save us from the evils of gay marriage? They said that we had to protect marriage and families......

Is it because some BIG MONEY interests are behind the SLOTS FOR SCHOOLS drive that the christian machine is sitting on their collective hands?

I suppose it is just more fashionable to preach hate against people than machines.

It's so like the extreme right wing fanatical religous zealots among us to blame a machine rather than lay the blame where it belongs.

''Gambling has torn apart more families than perhaps alcohol...'' So let me get this straight, we're saying that the machine is to blame rather than the degenerate buffoon that keeps plugging little Billys college tuition money into that one armed bandit?

You're wrong... one thing the right wing saviors will never be able to understand is the concept of free will. As humans beings we all have the power of choice. We choose to pull that cork out of the bottle, we choose to jab that vein with the needle and yes... WE CHOOSE TO ALLOW GAMBLING TO TAKE OVER OUR LIVES RATHER THAN ADMIT THAT WE HAVE AN ADDICTION.

As anyone that has travelled to Las Vegas (or Mecca as I like to call it) will tell you, the schools in that county are second to none. Top shelf facilities, well paid teachers and a well delivered education. And a high percent of high school graduates going on to higher education. And why, you might ask??? Because the system is partially subsidized by that so called evil.... legalized gamabling.
