New Law
I understand that state law has changed in regard to the School District Income tax and who and what they tax. One of the first two cities in Ohio to pass this new income tax was Lancasterlast week.
I understand that it only taxes earned income. Does anyone have any additional information on this tax?

Now do you see?
A 60 acre purchase for a requirement less than half that indicates to me what I have been trying to say all along. This school board will do the same thing as the last and build Taj Mahals. They bought enough land for North to build at least two more schools but they won?’t. They have enough land at Central to build more schools but they won?’t. They will have enough land at Tollgate to build more schools but they won?’t.
As pointed out so many times, yes, there are some aesthetic differences between North and Central but the biggest difference is what?’s outside the buildings on the grounds. The athletic facilities preclude the possibility of expansion or collocation of other buildings. The same stage will be set with the Tollgate site. They will have outside facilities that none of the other elementary or middle schools have.
The differences will be there folks. Listen to this Prognosticator person and ask Thiede to take control of this away from the politicians and give it to the taxpayers!

New taxes
In addition to this bond issue please be prepared for the following that are in the works:
City income tax increase to 2 or 2 1/2 percent with the credit reduced or taken away;
School district income tax increase to 2 percent.

Yes, Now I See
You make a lot of sense. I kept wondering how they would stick it to the taxpayers with the new schools, since they keep saying they are modeling them after Tussing et. al., and now I understand.
I doubt the politicians will let Thiede take control away from them. I have yet to hear any of the politicians who are responsible for the excesses at North take responsibility for them. Not only that, but the politicians who have replaced some of them won't even admit to them!
No, they'll force Thiede out before they'll allow control to be wrested from them.
