To Powder Puff

My guess...

My guess is Thiede will resign before they can force him out. He will protect his integrity. Did you notice in the columns in the papers where he said he was the CEO of the largest business in the county? I was stunned and immensly pleased with that presentation of himself and the truth. What a refreshing change! The truth, I mean.

I am sure Lisa Reade had a stroke when she saw that. That statement undermines everything she is trying to tell us that she is livin' large and bein' in charge.

She'll assure she has the votes to not renew his contract and spend as much of our tax dollars as possible to do a world-wide search for a replacement that will polish her boots and get her coffee.

Mark my words.
Rumor Mill

Why do you jump to conclusions with no basis? What makes you think that the board and Dr. Thiede are not working in harmony? I've been around them in person and read about their interactions in the paper and I would never reach that conclusion. Thiede and Treasurer Vince Utterback are doing great things for this district, especially when compared with their predecessors! I think they and the board are working well as a team. What makes you think otherwise?

As for land, when another elementary was deemed necessary, it was acknowledged that land was available at the North campus. However, it didn't make sense to put an elementary school there due to the grade mix. Knowing that a middle school was next on the horizon, it would make more sense to put that on the North campus. However, given that a couple of years have gone by and the schools haven't been built, and we're later in the forecast for enrollment, the need for additional Jr. and Sr. high capacity is approaching (not soon, mind you). It makes much more sense to build a new elementary and middle school on the Tollgate property and save the North campus land for future expansion for Jr. & Sr. High students. Doesn't that make sense to you?

As for additional land available at Tollgate, do you know for a fact the conditions of the land purchase? Maybe it was all or nothing? Or maybe the board had the foresight to purchase this large area due to the low price, or with plans for future development (more schools, district offices, athletic fields, etc.). You'll never know the real facts unless you ask a school board member. Guessing on this site will get you no where (except some support from others that are pessimistic and quick to fuel rumors).
