Someone is trying to fill up the front page to bury a posting, so I am repeating it here.

I heard a month ago that one of the more ego-vocal members of the board told a couple of people at a bond booster meeting that Thiede wouldn't get the votes needed to renew.

I'm not the original poster of this tidbit, but I know some board members read this site and I want to know what they have to say about it.

Not a BOE decision

No, I'm not a member of the school board.

Would it surprise you to learn that Dr. Thiede is retiring on his own accord? If you want to listen to rumors, I heard this is solely his decision and not a case of the board not renewing his contract. While I too believe Dr. Thiede has been truly an asset to this school district AND community, I respect his decision to retire. I only hope the board can find someone of his caliber to replace him.

You're the only one who thinks this is worth repeating. We've all heard it before and have moved on. You should too. Don't you have a superintendent to find?
