The Snider-Thornton Annexation

More questions for Pam

Pam, please. Never in my posting did I insinuate you were any of the names you mentioned. That's not the intention here and I don't care. The intention is to ask you some basic questions regarding merger and read your responses.

By not answering you lead me to believe you are trying to make nice and play good with everybody like children do. Tell me what olive branch has the township offered to the city? To not get into bed with Canal? We have the land and you don't? This city should be doing what it did before and annexing its way to 33.

There are no need for annexation incentives. Residential restrictions have been put in place. The playing field has been leveled for Pickerington, but the township never imposes a thing on Canal. Why is the township standing in the way of Pickerington? That's the million dollar question. And I know the answer.

Mr. Fix didn't begin negotiations. He's ending them. Annexation suicide. Although the residents and/or the courts will show him he's on the wrong side of this issue.

I've Got One for You

I've got a question for you: if you're in favor of city annexations of land in the township, why not take it all the way, and go for a merger?

You?’re barking up the wrong tree.

You?’re fishing in the wrong stream.

You?’re pumping a dry hole.

Pam ?– ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, ALRIGHT???

You are the sole proponent for a merger. We are sick of you relenting on it.

Stop asking us to do your work at figuring out if a merger is plausible.

Councilman Wisniewski did not sit there and preach to the public to explore his ideas that this agreement wasn?’t profitable for the city. He went out and did it himself.

Pam (and don?’t make me expose your real name here), you are smart enough and educated enough to explore the pros and cons of a merger. Set your mind to it, do the analysis and call for a public meeting to present your findings.

But in the mean time, PLEASE SHUT UP AND STOP YAMMERING AT US ABOUT A MERGER THAT NO ONE WANTS, except you.
All Pros, no Cons

Anon, I keep hoping that, for once, it will be possible to carry on a calm, unemotional, noninsulting discussion of an issue here.

If you've been reading my postings, you must know that I've laid out a lot of reasons for merging the city and the township. I haven't kept count, but I'll bet there've been at least two dozen. And I've got more.

I'd really like to hear the other side of this issue, if there is one. So far I haven't. Just a lot of name-calling and township bashing.

What a shame.
