Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

Looky, looky, a new PDF

If this doesn?’t convince you of just how stupid two members of the Service Committee are, you?’ll never be convinced.

I just read the verbatim transcript of the December 14th Service meeting posted to the left. Apparently Christie Hammond came right out and stated she had no idea what she was voting on yet she still voted!!! This pathetic excuse for a woman is now the CHAIRMAN of Service. What a joke!! She can?’t remember whether she was told something by the law director or read it in the paper!!!

Riggs, who is about as bright as a nightlight in OSU stadium also is ?“confused?” about what they are talking about and can?’t get her times straight. Is she in the present or the past or the future? Talk about your ultimate blonde!!

Then we are regaled over and over again of long statements from Fix saying absolutely nothing. I never thought Sabatino was the sharpest knife in the drawer but he saw right through the smoke and mirrors. Good job Mikey!!

Well, for a delivery boy and a coffee boy, Mikey and Ted did a remarkable job going up against the leader of a $75,000,000 company and soon to be the leader of the free world.
Going down for the third time

I noticed that AFTER this agreement is signed, if ever, Mr. Fix suggests that then and only then that the city dispatches the Pickerington City Economic Director (Mr. Hansley) to draw up a development plan. I am sure in the multimillion dollars business of French fries and development that Steak Escape signs a deal before they have studied the property. So once Pickerington gives up all of these rights what happens if things are not as good down near US 33 as Fix tries to make everyone believe they are? What happens if all the good sites are annexed into Canal Winchester? They have done it before to Pickerington what is stopping them this time?

I am intrigued by the after expenses that Cristie, Heidi and Fix continued to mention in the Service Committee transcript. So Mr. Fix let's put some numbers to that: If you issue a bond at 5% for 20 years for $8 Million then the debt service on that bond is $641,940 per year. The total revenue for the city on a store like Kohl's is less than $100,000 per year.

I do not think there is room enough for six and half Kohl's store on the city's borders. Second point is will these store magically appear in 2008 or will they likely appear over a period on time?

So if we create in the first year an extra $100,000 in tax revenues. If you read the local police runs the Pickerington Police spend a lot of time each week picking up shop lifters at Kohl's. A police office would probably cost around $70,000 per in wages and OT. So using this scenario and using only the police expenses the township would only get credit for $30,000 toward the $641, 940 debt service so the City rolls over $611,940 for credit against the second year of which there would be a total of $1,253,880 toward the expenses. I believe if you work this out somewhere around the year 2045 the City of Pickerington would send a $15 check to the township.

Then what happens if I over estimated the revenue and the expenses were a lot higher? Lets say the city is able to generate that $100,000 the first year and it cost in community services $150,000? Who pays for the loss?

I believe I get the hint that the township needs to fork over some cash here.

Clearly Mr. Fix had no idea what he was talking about in property and seemed to be totally unaware of the property taxes currently going to the trustees.

Clearly Mr. Fix can only argue this contract in simple terms mainly because he is inept at dealing with the complexity of the situation. There are too many moving parts for a guy like Fix that teaches people to say, ''Do you want fires with that Philly
Why Blond Jokes are true

Hopefully these two blonds will use this material on their next campaign. It certainly will show their soft side. Come on Pickerington are all of the women in Pickerington this stupid?
Handing over the city's keys

Now, now, boys give the girls a chance. I am sure they are trying their best to keep up. After all they have only had a few months on council to get up to speed. Please remember that your father probably talked your mother into doing something she didn?’t really want to do and that is why most of us are here today. I am sure with the ambiance of the Stone Creek Diner things seemed so simple. Jeff?’s smooth words seemed to slip off his tongue so easily. It probably was too hard to say NO.

Remember that Jeff has the third chair on Service. When it comes to providing sewer service to those developments outside the borders of the City Jeff will be more than willing to hand over the infrastructure that the Pickerington sewer users are paying for, to the township with nothing in return. As we have seen in the past he has no problem violating the sunshine laws of Ohio. Looking at his moving violations he has no problem violating the traffic laws of Ohio. Looking at his bogus voter registration in 2002 he has no problem violating the Pickerington Charter at the same time making false voter registration claims.

I do not know about you folks but I have had about enough of Mr. Fix and his generosity toward the township.
