One more to not forget
Randall Hughes.
Regarding petitions submitted after he interfered as much as ''mayorily'' possible in a citizen petition effort by telling the petitioner that the copy machine ''just broke down'' so copies of the ordinance could not be produced. Then, a little later, he ''suddenly'' got the Christmas spirit and closed city hall to assure the petitioner could not execute their civil rights.
Dunlap......Hughes.......Fix......council majority......Shaver......Weltlich.
Same old gang same old games.

Jeff is alway right
Dunlap has talked about facts for years. I have heard him talk how he wanted to be cooperative with Pickerington and how they offered Pickerington a seat at the table of CEDA agreement only to be caught in his own lie by his comments in the Times Sun article in February of 2001 when he said Pickerington was not invited because they were not part of it despite the fact that Pickerington was building a FIVE LANE road and supplied water to the Canal Pointe industrial park. In 2006, Pickerington was denied once more and this time they had to pay another $1.5 Million to share in the economic development that the Pickerington tax payers made possible in part by their tax dollars. Mr. Fix on his own decided to walk away from the offer.
Then a few months later he comes back with sharing HALF of the city's future revenues along Diley Road with the Trustees and the township doesn't have to put in one dime. Oh!!! this was in exchange for some swamp land around the Dunlap farms.
Now after the vote has been taken and Jeff was able to convince a couple of air heads on council to support this idea he wants to get the facts out. Fix maybe you should start with Heidi and Cristie and tell them the truth. Maybe a little refresher on the annexation laws and how we form paper townships. While you are at it please give us a complete accounting of the quarter million we send to the trustees each year and we receive nothing in return.
Folks the truth Fix talks about will be in his short news type clips. That is all you are going to get because he can't think any deeper than that. You will not get the details that the minority members that oppose this agreement have told you. Remember there was a number of offers made to get a 7 to 0 vote on this agreement but Fix rejected it them all! His arrogance shows though in that he thinks he is the only qualified person in the city to make these kinds of complicated decisions for us peasants. Those of you that do not have the fancy title are unworthy to even think or maybe vote in this case.

Council Members...please read
What really irks me the most is that we have a ''well rounded'' council. Members come from all walks of life and have experience is numerous areas. To top it off, we have a Staff with vast amounts of knowledge and years of experience under their belts. If this group of people could just get on the same page, we'd have a heck of a City government. But, as it stands I am afraid to say, that the discourse that this agreement has caused will overflow into other areas.
Council met last Tuesday and the only thing about the agreement the was discussed was that Mrs. Yartin was going to take the petition to the BOE. Come on folks....don't tip toe around the issue. What is going on needs to be discussed...quit acting like children and put the cards out on the table. This whole thing can be settled without dragging this out. What needs to be done is a negioater needs to be called in----ex Tim Hansley and Council needs to go into Executive Session. They need to agree before going into the meeting that they ''Will compromise'' and will come out with an agreement that all 7 agree upon. After that, take it to the voters in November. This needs to be put to bed so we can move on to other things that benefit the City. Pickerington is divided enough as it is and it doesn't help when City Council is at war with each other. We need to come together on this....Please...any members of Council who read this, take this to heart. This bickering is ridiculous and a waste of energy. At the next Council meeting, act like mature adults and discuss this. Come together as a group and do what you were elected to do.....do things that benefit the City and not further divide us.
If anyone else feels this way, please post messages encouraging Council to work together and get this solved. Name calling and bashing one another isn't getting us anywhere. Let's grow up and make this a City we are proud to call home.

Debate in public
This is not the purpose of executive session. Debate is to be open to the public. Executive session is for hiring, firing, law suits.
The executive session council used to discuss committee reorganization I feel should not have been allowed to be behind closed doors. I believe it was an abuse of the executive session.
Lastly, as Fix is quoted in the paper once the ''facts are out there'' people will support this. Why not give him the chance to discuss these ''facts'' with the public there to listen. Council newby Smith said in the paper he wanted to discuss this. Although he should have done this BeFoRe he voted for this mess.
