Losing trust amendment

Here is a quote from the Times-Sun that Mr. Fix wrote in his letter to the editor:

?“I understand and agree with the principal that residents should have their say and I encourage every resident to vote on this issue. Having said that, issues having to do with development, annexation, and conforming the boundaries are complex issues that need to be dealt with by elected officials that have earned the trust of the residents.?”

So in layman?’s terms we are simply not smart enough to deal with these complex issue so leave it to the experts!!

Experts like Jeff Fix: Jeff Fix has for years complained about the fact that the City of Pickerington never tried (as his handlers in the township told him) to get into the CEDA between Canal Winchester and Violet Township. The result after over 8 months of negotiations by an elected official ZERO!! Nothing!! Canal and Violet sent Fix and the Mayor packing. No CEDA nothing. Saying that the negotiations were far too complicated for us regular folk.

So still trying to save face he then proposes to give up the city?’s rights to annex and to conform our boundaries. By his own admission these are the only two negotiating chips we have and to put a little icing non the top he gave the township HALF of the future income taxes from projects to be announced later. THE TOWNSHIP STILL REJETED THE DEAL!!!

The township came back for the carcass and they didn?’t want to include in the ?“AFTER EXPENSE?” term the debt service of Diley Road ($8 Million). They were looking for the ?“FREE?” money from the City Taxpayers. While the City taxpayers paid for the services and the capital improvements to make the area suitable for development the township split the income taxes with having not taken on ANY responsibility on any NEW deal to be annouced later.

So to go back to Mr. Fix?’s comment in the paper and that being TRUSTED ELECTED people. Mr. Fix you had your opportunity YOU FAILED the Citizens that pay your salary are going to take back control of the situation because you have been very generous with our tax money and we are going to demand a veto in the future. Issue 9 is as simple as that. Yes if you want to form a JEDD in close to Pickerington you will need to come back to us.

YOU HAVE LOST OUR TRUST!! Issue 9 is the Jeff Fix amendment to the City Charter.

The past is back

Isn't this the same crap that the council and mayor told us up to the 2003 elections? That we're not smart enough to understand complex city issues?

Well we booted those that said that and put in a new council. They seemed to do pretty darned well through 2004-2005. The same people that weren't smart enough before seemed pretty smart for those 2 years.

Now we have Fix again telling us we aren't smart. Who REALLY has the ties to the past? The PAC that supported the petitions or Fix, Shaver, Hammond, Riggs, Smith and their trustees?

Hey RANDY FIX, we got rid of the likes of you before and we'll do it again.
yes, waste of time

It sure was a waste of time. Why did those counsel members in favor of 9 waste everyone's time by acting like they wanted to inform the public of the facts? I guess the real facts were too hard to handle. Couldn't keep them off the document, could you? It's very sad when people work so hard to keep information from the public. This is just a little sample of what is to come if past city corruption continues to try to creep back into the city. Hiding the facts from the public just won't fly!
what will you say?

Proponents of 9: What will you say when the city loses out on large amounts of tax revenue as a result of not being able to partner with anyone on future development? Can't wait to see the spin you try to put on that one. The writing's on the wall. You've blown it for the city and other cities around us will benefit as a result of your ignorance on these issues.
