Soft Balls

Posted in: PATA
I see in the Pickerington Times-Sun that the reporter, David Owen, was throwing soft balls in the form of questions to the Mayor about him leaving sensitive documents in an unlocked shed and then in a dumpster ina public alley. I guess I got to ask the reporter who wrote the article? It looks like the Mayor wrote his own PR piece to pull his hinny out of the fire.

It is pretty obvious to me that the Mayor and in his law practice have been very irresponsible in how he DIDN'T protect his client's information. Those documents were in an unlocked detached garage for well over there months and then the reporters go to his office on the afternoon of July 12th and his new law office is unlocked and unattended. I am sure there were files in that office unprotected.

How does someone collect and keep a dumpster full of PERSONAL documents? Even if they were personal papers wouldn't you at least try to protect your own privacy? I am sure the next time we see the Mayor his nose will be much longer.
How do you know?

How would you know if the Mayor's garage had been unlocked for 3 months? Where did you come up with that one? You fellas make up whatever suits you at the time. Maybe the article wasn't nasty because there was NO STORY. Wake up.
It came from the new owner!!!

Maybe you should re-read the article. The new owner stated that they have tried to get Shaver to remove these documents ''which were left unsecured in a detached garage behind the office.'' I didn't make it up it came from the new owner. Are you claiming she was misquoted in the Times-Sun?

Judging by her comments they have tried for weeks if not months to get Shaver to remove his stuff. She claimed that the previous owner, the Realtor and she tried to get Shaver over there. I guess he was just too busy to bother with client information.

I hear that the Mayor was a no show for the council meeting last night. Maybe the ABC 6 news truck spooked him.
