What is their purpose then?

Anonymous you make my point. Here we had a standing room only crowd with some very real concerns being expressed by those citizens and the three trustees simply don't care. I am aware they were not REQUIRED to show but this is the second time they ignored large crowds so where do they stand?

I am sure during that meeting these citizens were concerned about traffic, crime, and peace and quiet. What are the trustees going to do about that if the builders get their way to build a gas station?

It is very clear to me that the trustees have proven once again just how insignificant they are. They have NO control over the traffic or the roads or the crime. Their only function is to con tax money from that 42% of their constituency that live within the city limits of Pickerington.

The Law Rules on Such Things

It is amazing that people make judgment calls when there are rules to follow when you are an elected office holder. It is easy to critize when you do not know the rules, or even acknowledge that there are rules/laws to follow.

I must be terribly mis-informed if there is some rule some place that prohibits township trustees from attending PUBLIC meetings in their township. Especially when that meeting concerns zoning issues which is one area they have some control over.
