Ok, here are some examples

FIRST

Tussing is overflowing, despite its huge facility. This is due to the presence of the only subsidized housing in Pickerington and the super-dense housing in Park Place (both of which represent some of the most affordable housing in Picktown). This overflow is sending students to Fairfield. The net result has been a series of discipline problems within Fairfield (and another principal at the end of a career). My youngest goes to Pickerington, so this hasn't been our problem yet. Probably sucks to be in Glenshire or Summerfield these days.

SECOND

Last year, 1,455 students at Central and 2,032 at North took the Ohio 10th Grade Test. How did they do?

Level At Central At North

Below Basic 38 34
Basic 76 88
Proficient 481 473
Accelerated 545 853
Advanced 315 584

ALMOST 71% OF NORTH'S STUDENTS ARE MORE THAN PROFICIENT. IT'S LESS THAN 60% FOR CENTRAL.

33% MORE STUDENTS ARE BENEATH PROFICIENCT AT CENTRAL THAN NORTH.

THIRD

My neighbor's kid has gone to both Central and North (one of those divorce things). Her friends are at Central, but she's going to North because she's sick of the attitude that she saw at Central. At risk of getting the Kohl's sheet sale treatment like others, there are twice as many African Americans at Central as North and it's causing problems. It only makes sense to hire the African American principal to try to calm everyone down.

What numbers?

I am not sure where you are getting your numbers but they differ from what is on the ODE web site. First I think the number of students attending Central is around 1200 and the number of students attending North is around 1725. The 10 grade test both schools scored a point or so on either side of 90 percent on all four sections of the test.

Now who is making up the numbers?

Are you saying that the student at north took the test more than one time? Same for Central? How is the ODE rating the school system as excellent? I believe they must average excellent or around 90% in all of the categories in the rating.
Numbers part 2

Mr Wizard -

I also need to point out that Central students out scored North students by a very wide margin in the 2006-07 Ohio Graduation test. I know this from a teacher at North but I do not think that the district web-site contains the data yet. Go figure.

I'd like to investigate the numbers you have provided. Is there a source or a web-site that you can point me to?

The numbers

Those numbers ARE from the ODE website. You apparently can't work it.
