The Whole football team got 'em in 2006 including the JV team.

The golf team gets em for playing in as few as 5 matches.

The cross country team gets 'em for running just a couple of races, not breaking the time target.

There are standards established to EARN a letter, why doesn't Central have to follow them? Kinda takes the shine off of the honor.

Don't just point your finger at Central. Call the AD at North and see if the same applies there.

Then you will have a valid issue to debate.

How many Pick North football players went to Massillon to play in a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game?

That's what I thought... perhaps you should shut you're yapper until you have all the information. Besides, the guidelines for all varsity sports ends with the point that letters can be awarded at the discretion of the head coach. It's in writing and the AD would be happy to provide you with a copy.

Many of the JV players that were honored with varsity letters made the choice to stay with the team in the post season in order to help prepare for the play-off games. These kids gave up practice time for winter sports such as wrestling and basketball for no other reason that they loyal to Tiger football. That's reason alone to give them a letter.

Leave this alone.
