Gilligan, since you and nobody think that posting the personal infomation of others is no big deal and since nobody thinks that only Pickerington residents have any say in what goes on in Pickerington despite the fact that people who live in Pickerington also live in Fairfield County and what happens in Fairfield County affects everyone who lives there, I will not dignify either of your answers unless you both willingly publish your names, addresses and phone numbers so I may verify that YOU meet the criteria for having status to post here that YOU set.

Cris, you were the one who picked your username which gave away who you were. I wasn't posting anything that someone with an internet connection and a little bit of logical thinking couldn't figure out and find out on the board of elections website.

Sorry you're so upset about it all.

However, I live in Pickerington and I know the players here as well as many of the ones in Lancaster. I wouldn't be commenting on your city council and Mayor without living there and having a better knowledge of the city workings, other than the cursory comments made by those claiming to the answer to all things. Just because someone claims to be ethical doesn't mean they are.

However, the Republican party in Fairfield county is going to get a smack-down eventually and maybe then they'll figure out how to work together instead of fighting internally.

Anybody who is so frightened by the statement of anybody else's opinion that they would check the voter rolls to see if they can vote in their community is displaying simptoms of 1.) a major vested interest in surpressing the point of view expressed or 2.) a serious emotional illness. In either case, from now on you will be true to your screen name. You are indeed nobody. Certaintly nobody who should be trusted.

Anyway, for those who still care about free speech, here is a summary of a conversation that I had with the current first lady of Pickerington shortly after her husband's election: the controlled growth plan proposed by the Shaver administration is a valid and fair program that does not seek to stop growth, it only asks those who profit from the growth to pay part of the cost of expanding city serivcies to meet the needs of the developers' customers rather than expecting the current residents, many of whom feel that their quality of living is being degraded by growth, from being forced to contribute on a par with the new residents while the only people who clearly benefit from the growth, the devleopers themselves, contribute only a token portion of the total cost of developing their new ''communities.'' If Pickerington succeeds in holding those who profit most to paying a fair share of the added expense of having their products in the community, then Lancaster, Lithopolis, Baltimore and every other community that might be set up as an easy mark for a fast buck developer will have a much easier time resisting the influence peddling that leads up to these sweetheart deals that increase builders' profits by passing a significant portion of the true total cost of buying a new home on to the existing residents of the community, many of whom don't want new neighbors in the first place.
