Not all booster money

I've been involved with Tiger sports boosters for almost 20 years and need to point out that you could not be more off base.

While a portion (generally 30-50%) of equipment cost CAN come from booster dollars, the remainder is approved and paid for by the school district.

just curious

if the money was approved in the budget (paid by the district), what difference does it make to you?

i personally don't know, but maybe, they needed them?

IF the school board approved this expense it must be in the meeting minutes.

not that much detail

the board minutes don't show that sort of detail, for any ''operating'' expense. my guess is that the athletic department submits a budget that is approved, probably recommeded by the board liason. once again, this is purly a guess as to the process.

wouldn't the atheltic director have disretion over how the money is spent, accountable primaily for the total? that's the way most businesses work.

as previous post mentioned, what's the big deal if they did get new uniforms?
