Sticking situation

Posted in: PATA
To Quote Animal House...

Mayor Carmine De Pasto: If you want this year's homecoming parade in my town, you have to pay for it.
Dean Vernon Wormer: Carmine, I don't think it's right that you should extort money from the college.
Mayor Carmine De Pasto: Look, these parades you throw are very expensive. You using my police, my sanitation people, and my Oldsmobiles free of charge. So, if you mention extortion again, I'll have your legs broken.

EXACTLY !!!

Posters want to live in a good school district but not help pass a levy.

They want the ''district'' to take care of things but don't want to help.

Then they want to bitch about how the Levy Committee raises money!! Give me a break - and you want to scam Tiger Football games for free. But let's get rid of Pay to Play.

Spend your time at Marcus & be done with it - you will spend more money on a lousy movie & popcorn that you will on watching one of the best Football programs in Central Ohio.

Questions remain

The questions still remain:

1. Who from the district sits on the 'volunteer' committee, besides parents? Who gave them the list and put the volunteers in this situation?

2. Didn't the guy from Case say them putting a $ figure on the letter was taking this to the edge.

3. Didn't the prior superintendant make personal visits to some vendors in the past to solicit donations vs sending a form letter to every vendor in the district? Seems like a much smarter approach than what was taken this time around.

Statement not a question. The Dispatch most likely called a bunch of vendors and they were most likely too intimidated to go on record about it. Probably wouldn't even confirm they received the letter. Makes you wonder why other vendors wouldn't speak doesn't it?

Soliticting donations from vendors I have no problem with. Sending a form letter to every vendor on the school list with your ''suggested'' minimum donation of $1500 I do.
