Obviously, the posters on this website are not reflective of the overall voter population. Otherwise, Gray, Sauers & Sanders would not have been elected last night.
Why didn't Brink get re-elected? Did the PEA endorsement cost him? Or, did the city folk wanting representation (i.e., Lee Gray) take votes away from him?
And in the City Council race, how did Sanders and Sauers beat out Hackworth? Ted has done an admirable job for the city, both as a councilman and as a citizen before he was elected. I hope he runs in the next election. I truly believe Ted worked for what is best for the city and what made sense overall.
Do the residents really want a rec center that badly to vote for Sanders? Truly an unknown on the public scene (Tony Barletta was vocal at council meetings, in the paper, etc.) what did voters see to make her their choice for a position on council?
As for Brian Sauers, at least he's been active in city business. Is he the better choice over Ted or Tony? I think not.
