Go to council and speak out
Chief wants em
Couple of council want em
You, me and any law abiding drivers want em
Go to council and tell em.

Wish more would be involved
Red light cameras are what they are, and will be working within the week. The cameras are not to help the light. Smile when you drive by. Oh, and if you go to council meetings you might find out more then just about our lights. How about paying for our parks in the near future. A levy to pay for our parks we all ready own. How about the pool no one complained about, cost us 665,000, not bad for a broke city. If you don't get involved, go to some of these meetings then you really don't know what they are up to. You don't have any idea on what they spend your money on, or what levy or tax is in the future.

Another whiner
http://66.194.250.96/picktown/documents/meeting_minutes/doc2276.htm
Search for ACS in the document. These are NOT red-light cameras to bust people like you running the red lights. No need to grimace as you drive by the cameras.
Secondly if they were red-light cameras they'd be about 10x the size of the ones in Pickerington that just went up. Drive through downtown Columbus and look at the size of what a red-light camera really looks like.
As far as the pool goes, unless you built a new house in the city since the impact fees went into effect then you didn't pay a dime for this pool.
Whine all you like but you obviously are ill-informed.

Video Cameras
Before we all blow off the red light camera idea off and that these new video cameras at the Pickerington intersections are simply traffic detectors please think again. These cameras are actual cameras and they can monitor the traffic passing through the intersections and up to 250 feet from that intersection. All of this information and video could be transmitted to the police dispatcher's desk via the internet. So when you do run that red light or make an illegal turn you could very well be on candid camera so please smile and make sure your hair is combed.
