I see the county republican party continues to have a case of the stupid?’s.

Maybe they should be called the ?“Republicans in name only?” county party. They reelected Steve Davis as the county party chairman and Carl Tatman and the chairmen of the Republican Central committee. Other officers are Fix as secretary, Kuhn as treasurer and Dave Smalley as VP.

How can they say they are the republican party when the rank and file republicans in the county ignore them and their endorsements and vote just the opposite most of the time?

They endorsed and ran a candidate against an incumbent in 2006 and their endorsed candidate lost.

This year they tried to unseat another sitting county commissioner and lost again despite a huge amount of money and the support from the Pickerington City Council and at least one democrat in that group.

As long as people like Fix are in the thick of things down in Lancaster I will continue to ignore them. Even if that means electing a very liberal democrat to the white house.

Vote no for the RINO?’s

Get your FACTS right

One of the best things, and one of the worst things about the internet is that there is no filter. One would hope that everyone posting on this page would deal with facts but that is not always the case.

The fact of the matter is that has had only one endorsed candidate lose in a primary election during the four years of Steve Davis' leadership as Chairman. That was Steve Elsea who ran in opposition to Mike Kiger. In every other case, the candidate endorsed by the county party has won the primary election, and in most cases gone on to win the general election. Every countywide elected seat is filled by a Republican.

True Republicans will vote for the candidate who most clearly lines up with their own individual ideals and will not vote ''for a liberal democrat'' just because they don't like someone in a local leadership position.

Get your facts right and while you're at it pull your head out of....
Some facts you forgot

Fix here are some facts for you.

There are 124 voting precincts here in Fairfield county. In 2006, 110 of those precinct voted Democrat for Strickland. DAVIS AND FIX IN CHARGE.

Speaking of the 124 precincts, all are entitled to elect a republican central committeeman. Only 61 of those precincts chose to do so this year.

When Davis was elected the republicans held the majority in the partisan city council of Lancaster. Today the Democrats hold the majority.

Despite losing the Lancaster council majority he is talking about removing party resources from Lancaster to use in non-partisan races like Pickerington and Lithopolis.

Part of the problem Fix is you. You support and get elected a democrat to the Pickerington City Council and then turn your back on the endorsed long term incumbent Judy Shupe for commissioner. If you and your fellow officers in the County Executive committee were not satisfied with Shupe why endorse her?

You sent out a nasty piece in the mail in support of Weltlich just before the election with lies and embellishments and now I hear you sent Shupe a $50 check for her campaign. Do idiots like you really ever consider how much of the party resources you use up by playing both sides of the fence and having Republican attacking each other? I think you would fit right into the debate between Obama and Clinton and how it helps your opponents.

Fix you seem to be doing to the County party what you did to the NW republican club. I am sure the democrats are tickled to death with your incompetence.

Do Some Homework

I again encourage all posters on the PATA web site to do the following:

1. Debate issues and policies and avoid personal attacks.

2. Post your name so that there is legitimacy and accountability for your posting.

3. Do some homework before you post so the things you note as facts are truly facts, not some dribble that made its way to your keyboard.

As for the previous posting, clearly you are too lazy or stupid to do the homework required to meet the criteria noted above.

A quick check of the facts shows the following:

1. 99 of the 127 seats in the Republican Central Committee are filled.

2. 4 of the 7 voting members of the Lancaster City Council are Republicans. Last I checked that counts as a majority.

3. Only 48 of the 127 seats on the Democratic Central Committee are filled. Perhaps as a ''Former R'' they could use your help.

4. When I left as President of the Republican Club of Northwest Fairfield County we had recently completed our successful Reagan dinner which featured John Kasich as our speaker, we had more than 70 members, and had several thousand dollars in the bank. We had, during my previous tenure as President and the following presidencies of Steve Elsea and Kyle Farmer successfully campaigned for Pickerington city council, Township trustees, PLSD School Board, and a variety of county wide Republican victors.

I'm not sure what success looks like in your book but I am proud of my tenure with the club and and confident that it was left in great shape.

Now I'm sure you'll come up with some other witty repartee about how I'm the reason for the downfall of the city, the county republican party, the Ohio Republican party, the loss of the US Congress to democrats, or the general failure of the world bank. Before you do so, I urge you to put down the bowl of Lucky Charms, get off your couch, and do some homework.
