I am hearing that the new Central High School Principal wrote a character reference letter in support of the ex-OSU football player that shot two Columbus Police officers in a drug raid. In addition he wrote this letter on the school letter head stationery.
I think he may need some letters of his character in the future if he continues this poorly thought out behavior.

Poor judgement
No officers died luckily but that was a stupid letter to write as if representing the school district.

Bad idea from good guy
Mr Reeves is a classy guy that made a bone-head decision.
I had the pleasure of meeting him when he first arrived in the PLSD. I found him to be a thoughtful and genuine individual. While don't agree with what he did and it certainly should not be over-looked, I also think that his intent was purely to support his friend during a bad time.
If I understand the situation correctly, this has been handled by the Superintendant. I highly doubt that we're going to see something like this occur again.

Classy has a word in the middle
Classy guys don't support the decision of people to break laws and shoot cops.
This guy is supposed to be a model for my kid. What do you think my boy is talking about at the end of the year? ''Mr. Reeves wrote a letter for some drug dealer. Maybe he can get me out of detention.''
Reeves is not a model anything right now.
