Say it isn't so...

Our Retiring Congressman, David Hobson made the News recently. Apparently some of the money he so ably directed back to his home district had added benefits of a more personal nature.

I'm disappointed. As a Democrat I considered Hobson one of the ''good Republicans''. Other than my republican friends and neighbors in Fairfield county, that would be a very short list.

He has something in common with none other than Dennis Hastert R-Yorkville Illinois. He feathered his own nest with government funds.

I suggest all voters consider Sharon Neuhardt this November.

Don't be naive...

You can't possibly mean you think this only happens with Republicans do you?

Just google wasted tax dollars & you get a plethora of options from both sides of the aisle.

It's a shame we can't just get rid of the lot of them. Maybe we can get the Rev. Wright to stop by and pray for all of us. Whoops - that preacher only likes black folk...
Two wrong's don't make a wright

I don't see any politician's walking on water period. I'm suggesting we look to new individuals who are more interested in the common good, than enriching themselves, their friends, or favored corporations with public money. That would be a change for the better.
Tony

Thanks for refering me to the article. My take on it is the opposite of yours and I am a registered independant. I hope everyone takes the time to read it AND the comments at the end of the article.

The office builing was 5 miles away from the improvements that brought jobs to Rickenbacker. The appreciation on the building is less then 2% per year. Come on, Tony. Really.

His investment in the condo project was over before they widenened the road and it was near an off ramp of a freeway. The road was widened for the commercial developement, not the condos. Tony, your better than this.

The media has so much compassion for Ted Kennedy. Nobody wants anybody to suffer or have pain. But then search May Jo Kopechne and read the wikipedia posting of the events of the night she died. Where's the compassion there? Who, seriously, if you had a choice, would you vote for, Kennedy or Hobson? Why don't you look into his investments in Mass. and I'll bet this story pales in comparison. I'll bet his family and relatives have made tens of millions, or more.

Choose your battles better, Tony. I probably won't vote for your candidate, now that I see how your slant is driven by party politics and not clear thinking.
