earmarks only for DEMS
Tony,
I don't understand the charge you are making against Dave Hobson. The fact that Hobson gets federal funds for local projects and over the years they find one or two that may remotely come close to causing a scandal and you try to paint picture that Hobson is crooked.
I seem to remember that Hobson got the city around a $.5 Million for the Diley Road project. He also got money for the interchange at Ebright Road. I am sure there are many more that I can't remember. Don't forget about the Rickenbacker train modal.
Are you saying earmarks are bad?
Would your Sharon Neuhardt be opposed to accepting or applying for earmarks?
Is this Sharon Neuhardt going to not accept any campaign contributions from companies that have received an earmark from her office (if elected)?
By the phase of ''feathering his own nest'' are you implying that Hobson accepted these funds to use them for his own personal expenses and uses?
Since this Sharon Neuhardt will not accept campaign donations from companies that receive government contracts and she will not accept or allow earmarks in her district (if elected) then where will the funds come from to fund badly needed projects in our community?
I have heard that the DEMOCRATIC congressman from the south Boston District that John F. Kennedy once held has delivered over $5.5 Billion to his district. Yes that is with a ''B''. Now compare that to the $45 million (with an ''M'') from Hobson. Aren't we here in Ohio getting short changed?
Have you ever been to West Virginia and noticed that every building and road has Robert Byrd's name of it? He has steered projects to West Virginia since I can remember.
Unless your Sharon Neuhardt can continue to bring in the ear marks to the local communities in Hobson's district then why should any of us vote for her? Does she have a plan to reform the ear mark system? Trying to smear Hobson for playing within the rules is counter productive.
How about Obama that accepted campaign donations from a couple of Chicago Pastors and those churches then received ear marks worth hundreds of thousand of dollars to these churches? Then with your reasoning we should all vote for McCain.
Most of the time you think with a clear head. You have been hanging out with the Dems in Lancaster too long.
