I got the message
I understood from the campaign literature I received that the city needed the money to maintain the current level of services. I guess sending plows out everytime it flurries is or was the current level. Now without the money they need to lower the level of service.
I assume that parades and fireworks consitute a current level of service. Since they didn't get the issue passed I assume that a reduced level of service in the form of no parades or fireworks is to be expected.
I assume that hiring cops to keep up with the increased crime we're seeing in the media police reports due to the collapse and demolition of Brice Road is a current level of service. So since the tax issue didn't pass, I also assume that if I call for a cop to my house I can expect a much longer wait since more cops aren't being hired to cover things.
Think of everything the city does and call it the current level. then start reducing that level. I am sure that is what council is doing with their budget. It ain't rocket science.
