Jeff I hope you reign in your comments and attacks, sure you do not like what people are saying... but you come back with name calling and it just looks very bad for an elected official to be doing this. I guess you do not care though or something.
If you ignored the comments that anger you and respond with insightful comments that may educate people, maybe that would help the situation, but instead I think your comments lead down the path you profess to hate. So I guess I am confused.

Great Point
You know that's a very good point. I would love to debate the issues here or anywhere. Seems that there are few here who are intersted in that. Too many interested in twisting facts to their own liking, and too many here out to anonymously vilify local elected officials (one short round one in particular). There are times when you read enough of the things written here that are so far from factual that your blood boils and you react.
Ah well, lesson learned. Better to stay off this site all together than to get wrapped up in the childish games played here.

Fix on his own
Mr. Fix is quick to pull his ?“self righteous indignation?” routine and totally forget about his past and his own actions. Many times in his writings he writes one thing and means something else. His arguments are always filled with exaggerations.
If you read his comments on the red light cameras he claims he never noticed the different colors in the traffic signals until he received a couple of tickets for running the red lights. I would suspect he has been driving 30 years or more and he is trying to make the claim that none of us or the majority of us run light red lights and are not aware of the different colors of the traffic light and what they mean. He plans to correct our behaviors based on his own inadequacies.
The fact here is that Mr. Fix is trying to identify his political opponents. Once you are identified he will plan to run against them by smear tactics. This web site by his own braggadocios is his creation. Certainly the PATA newsletter of years past was his creation at least when he signed his name to it. The basic point here is that Mr. Fix can dish it out but he can?’t take it. Just point out that he is a liar, stupid, or Nazi like and his ?“blood boils?“. We saw his response on this web site and it was not pretty. I wonder if others on council are reacting that way and why are they not attacked personally? Those in the past like Doug Parker were stewed regularly here and his outbursts were recorded normally in the local news paper. Here Mr. Fix can?’t claim a mis-quote.
For those of us planning on running for office this fall against Mr. Fix I would advise that you keep it secret until the very latest date you can. Only tell your trusted friends and I would keep it to a only a few friends. Then once out there go full steam.
It appears Mr. Fix has identified one of his opponents and he has started his campaign against him.
In regard to debating issues. Mr. Fix has no desire to debate anything. He has his talking points and if you use logic or actual facts he will simply repeat his talking points and say he has debated. Once set in his mind nothing can influence any change. When we elect people to serve as our representatives they state in the campaign what they plan to do once in office. I hope you all remember Mr. Fix?’s promises. Then once they are in office and they are presented with NEW FACTS not known prior to being in office then they must adjust their thinking to address the new facts. Mr. Fix is not good on his own and with very little original thought. Over the years he has relied on mentors and once these mentors became disillusioned with him he found himself on his own. He has stuck it to so many of his allies that he is in constant need to find new allies and mentors. He is now desperate to find an issue to run on this fall and we see his struggles and his control over his emotions becoming highlighted here.

Pete and repeat
I am appalled by Mr. Fix's postings on this site and his quotes in the papers. I do not think this is what we need in a council president pro tem. But I think back on Mr. Fix's antics through the years and this is pretty typical behavior. Nothing changes with this guy. For the last six months or so he has been on his best behavior seemingly positioning himself to gain the votes necessary for the title. Now that he fooled enough people to get the votes, it's back to business - or Fix as usual. Attack, attack, attack and apologize later. I can only hope that the mayor sees him for what he is. Same for the city manager. He's like a biting dog that you keep in front of you but the minute you turn your back he bites you again. I guess it is safe to assume now that he has his title and has gone back to Fix as usual, he'll wage his relentless campaign to promote his charter changes that will change our government. Good luck to all of us if he continues to get his way. He wants to put city employees on the street to outsource work to his buddy's cousin's company (no conflict there) with no measurable gain to be seen - only his word that we will save big bucks; he wants to put up red light cameras to charge us for using roads (I got an email he must think is unbiased in presenting his ''facts'' about red light cameras yet there was no downside to installing them) and pad city coffers and he still wants to run yet another income tax increase after we thought we told him no once.
Hello Mr. Relentless. You might be able to fool 4 other councilmen into thinking you changed and get their vote but you'll never fool me enough to vote for you in November.
