PLSD test scores / Tussing kids

It can be taken into CSD

I was just correcting the record. Someone mentioned that since PLSD was not contiguous to the Columbus school district then they could never be given back to Columbus. The fact is that area in the very NW areas of Fairfield County are in the City of Columbus. They may not be part of the Win Win agreement but they could be given back to the Columbus School district just as areas directly North of Canal were given back a few years ago.

Now for Lisa, I have no knowledge of what the Board is thinking. Clearly if this were to happen it probably would be driven by a citizen group and not the board. Citizen groups in the past have championed moves like this (Groveport). In any event this discussion delays you and others from talking about the test scores.
Given Back????

How can something be ''given back'' when it never belonged to the receiver in the first place?
They allowed that area to remain

Up until the early 70s when cities annexed land in Ohio they also included the land into the city's school district. The fact that because of busing Columbus couldn't convince people to annex they voluntarily allowed the school district to remain where it was. I think if Columbus wanted to reclaim some of its lost school territories it could. Even if that meant creating islands in the district. Remember Columbus has a city school district.
I would like to collect

Becuase you bet wrong. I did not move to Pickerington to be around ''good people.'' I moved to Pickerington solely because of the geographic location. In fact, growing up, Pickerington is the last place I said I would ever live. Twenty years, and I still don't like the taste of humble pie.
