It's time to do more that read postings on this website if you CARE about your Community.

If it's at all possible let's quit talking about what the worst case scenario's are & who could possibly be worse than someone else for the City Council. And if I read another posting that rhymes I think my head will explode. Spend your time doing something that will make Pickerington a better place !!

Who are the top two choices for the open Council positions ??

And what are WE - saying that includes you, going to do to get them there ?? I think we have made a positive impact in the Community so far & should not stop now. We need letters to the papers, & to the sitting Councilmen telling them how you feel & who you want appointed into the spots & why.

Anyone who could figure out how to get a sign made saying ''RECALL CITY COUNCIL'' could easily have ''Hackworth for City Council'' signs made. If I recall correctly directions for ordering signs as well as a contact & phone # have been put on this site !!!

Ted Hackworth has been the only person that I know of that has said he is interested in one of the open seats. If the thoughts are they will appoint the open seats in January then we have about 5 weeks for a campaign.

Don't expect Council to read your minds - we need to identify two candidates get behind them & be vocal. You need to come to City Council Meetings & ask them to appoint specific people & if they get 500 letters or 50 city people asking for the same person at a council meeting - a point will be made. Letters to any of the papers can be sent by email - it's easy & fast. Take 10 minutes & make a difference. Or said differently.......

Lisa Reade is right we must move forward and state our case. We can all expect the worse from our City Council but please don?’t give them the excuse that no one applied and second that there was no public support for other the candidates. I urge you all again to step forward and send your letter to the editor, to a councilman, to the City. If you are concerned about it getting buried at City Hall send it to David Shaver. He has an office on West Columbus Street in Pickerington zip code 43147. The street number below 30. His Law firm is Shaver and Hoke. You can look it up in the Phone book.

Don?’t give the sitting councilmen an excuse that they didn?’t know or no one applied. For the last four weeks or so our city council meetings have been packed. That has put pressure on the council and our Mayor. These citizens that attended these council meetings, made statements that disapproved of the actions of the city council.

Please call or send an e-mail, mail a letter or some how communicate with our City Council. I state again here tonight that I have applied for one of the open council seats. My application of last year for the John Washington council position is still valid. I am in a position to serve the community. I want to be on council.

If you support someone else fine, but please send that letter today. We do have two positions open. Don?’t give them an excuse and they surely will use any lack of response as an excuse. If you flood them with e-mails and letters to city Hall along with Letters to the editor and they chose someone else then that again shows their indifference to the citizens of Pickerington.

Your predictions may very well come true. If they do, don?’t give them the satisfaction that everyone was complacence and no one cared. If you know how to log on to this web site then you should be able to open up the Official Pickerington WEB site to the left and send them all a message. Do it now before you log off.


I need your help now not in March or next November. You must step forward and state your case. If you don't then you didn't vote. You need to vote now before December 3rd.

Went to the City of Pickerington website and requested that Ted Hackworth be considered for one of the vacant council seats. I sent it to ALL the council members. Let's hope everyone else that reads these boards does the same thing!
