Mr. or Ms. Anonymous,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. I am sorry you are feeling as low as you are about Pickerington. I know there is a lot to feel bad about, but there are some things to feel good about. I?’ll bet that as little as a year ago, you never had the opportunity to really appreciate the scenery in Olde Downtown Pickerington. Now, City Council has made it so you have to appreciate it, as you sit through light after light after light to get through the Hill/Columbus light or the Columbus/Center St. light. They made it so the left-turn arrows only function during the peak hours of 5:00 p.m. ?– 5:10 p.m. Since there is traffic there at no other time, who needs the arrows?

I know that many of the elected, appointed and hired City Officials are committing illegal acts. They know I know and I know they know I know. You know what? They don?’t care. They?’ve stopped trying to defend their actions. No one can seem to touch them and they have grown comfortable with that. Justice will be served. It just takes time. Can I get elected without the developers?’ money? Certainly! There are still enough informed, educated and angry voters to pull it off. Set aside the voters that the crooks have in their pockets and there are still enough to pull off the biggest upset in Pickerington voting history. Take what?’s left out of their pockets and figure only 25% of them get out to vote and you still can sweep the Council seats and Mayor?’s office coming up. It is just numbers.

What if the School Board publicly spoke out against the City Council? What would Council do? Would they say ?“Oh my gosh, they?’re right! We might be hurting the schools by approving every single development plat brought before us to show those despicable petitioners who the he!! is in charge.?”? No, they would laugh at the Board and spit in their eye just as they do to nearly every citizen and taxpayer every day.

Please don?’t blame the School Board. Think of what they are doing that is right. They managed to get rid of a useless, worthless Superintendent and an equally useless and worthless Treasurer. By the way, who do you think got us in this mess needing a levy a year until we all are paying the same amount in property tax that we pay in principal and interest payments? The Superintendent and the Treasurer. Until the Board became configured as it is today, the Superintendent and Treasurer behaved as though the board worked for them, not that they served at the pleasure of the Board. Mr. Monhollen has changed that. Now he has a very big hole to pull the district out of. It will be the same for whoever is elected to fill the City seats. They will be the new bad guys getting all the bad press raising taxes and cutting services trying to pull the City out of an even bigger hole than the Schools are in.

Public flogging? Nah. If you take away their Harley Davidson gifts, their free housing, make them pay back their ill-gotten profits from insider land deals you will effect the greatest punishment they can bear. Hit them in their pockets. You can?’t put them in jail without a trial and given the DeMastry debacle, they would stand trial in Youngstown anyway. Hey, isn?’t that where Trafficant is from?

I am sorry for whatever the Manager and Law Director have done to you. But please, speak out. Contact the press and make your story known. No, the law is not what is important to them. Serving their masters is.

PLSD board does play a role

mayor wannbe,

i will take issue with you about the school board. i like that they have rid themselves of their top administrators over the last year. their collective silence has hurt all efforts that those that want to reform the pickerington city council. they have newsletters, they have booster clubs, and they have their own forum twice a month to speak out about the residential growth in pickerington. they command the media and they can draw attention by a highly paid public relations person that is eating up a teacher's salary. what is this pr person for anyway?

YES WES MONHOLLEN HAS DONE A FEW GOOD THINGS I LIKE BUT WE STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM OF 5000 MORE HOMES COMNING TO PICKERINGTON SCHOOLS. WITHDRAWING HIS PUBLIC SUPPORT OF THESE THAT MAKE THOSE DECISIONS BOTH NOW AND IN THE FUTURE WOULD GREATLY IMPROVE THE CHANCES OF THE RATE OF GROWTH SLOWING. EITHER WES IS WITH US OR AGAINST US HE MUST MAKE A CHOICE. HE CAN'T REMAIN NEUTRAL. EVEN SWIZERLAND JOINED THE UN THIS WEEK.
Law Director budget

Mayor Wannabe,

What do you think about a law director that spends $6,500 to hire an outside lawyer to find something wrong with three petitions so he can say they have fatal errors. Thus keeping them off the ballot. Do the citiziens of this city have any rights that won't be challenged by high price attorney suits that nit pic at every word and comma?

Then we have this ''VERY NICE MAN FROM PICKERINGTON'' that proposes to place all three petitions on the ballot just before the central committee races yet still loses the his own precinct, only to be elected Republican County Chairman. How did the nice young man get elected well the very same law director above that hired the outside attorney now was interupting the by laws from the Republican central committee that he wrote. He claimed it was OK to elect the nice young man from Pickerington from and catagory of at large Republicans that were not ''ELECTED officals.'' The law directors then says that meant paritisan elected. It didn't say that in the bylaws. Is this the same law director that now says the new intiative submitted by the voters of Pickerington has TYPOS. He also is intrupting what the petitioners meant to say in their petition even when you tell him differently.

Will you find a NEW LAW DIRECTOR?

Will the new law director have his office rent paid along with office supplies and a secretary and phone bills along with his retainer? What a deal.

How about a NEW City Manager? One that actually knows who she works for. Maybe one that is less expensive to the tax payers. One that won't give away all of the hard earned city money to the builders? Maybe one that would wash her own damn car. Maybe even a honest man.
